- We collect what you type into our form (and a little technical data) so we can send your free sample and tell you about Radar.
- We don't sell your personal information, and we don't share it for anyone else's marketing.
- Every email has an unsubscribe link. Email hello@texasbizradar.com to see, fix or delete your data.
- Our lead lists come from public Texas sales-tax permit records. Business owners can ask to be left out of future lists.
Who we are
Texas New-Business Radar ("Radar", "we", "us") is a service of Tamir Sobel, d/b/a Texas New-Business Radar, 8506 Leroi Drive, Austin, TX 78744. This policy covers the website at texasbizradar.com, our sample-request form, our emails, and our paid subscriptions. Questions: hello@texasbizradar.com.
What we collect from you
| What | Examples | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Form details you give us | Name, work email, company, metro, what you sell | To build and email your free sample, and to follow up about Radar |
| Ad and visit details | Which ad or link brought you (UTM tags, Facebook/Google click IDs), the page address, the referring site, IP address, browser type | To know which ads and posts work, and to block spam and abuse |
| Customer details | Billing name, email, plan, filters you choose, support messages | To deliver your weekly list, manage your account and answer questions |
| Payment details | Card number and billing address | Handled by our payment processor (for example, Stripe). We never see or store full card numbers. |
| Email activity | Whether a delivery email was delivered or opened, if our email provider reports it | To make sure your list actually reaches you |
Cookies and ad pixels
The site itself works without cookies. If we run ads, we may add the Meta Pixel and/or the Google tag. These tools use cookies or similar technology so Meta and Google can tell us when someone who clicked an ad requested a sample, and so we can show ads to people who visited the site. Meta and Google handle that data under their own policies. You can limit this through your browser settings, your Facebook and Google ad settings, or tools such as optout.aboutads.info.
How we use your information
- Send the free sample you asked for and follow up about it.
- Deliver your subscription, process payments and provide support.
- Send occasional product news and offers (you can unsubscribe at any time).
- Measure and improve our website, ads and product.
- Prevent fraud and abuse, and comply with the law.
Who we share it with
We share personal information only with companies that help us run Radar, and only so they can do that work for us: our website host and form provider (for example, Netlify), our email provider, our payment processor (for example, Stripe), our spreadsheet or CRM tool (for example, Google Workspace), and ad platforms (Meta, Google, LinkedIn) for ad measurement. We may also disclose information if the law requires it, to protect our rights or safety, or as part of a sale or transfer of the business. We do not sell your personal information and we don't share it with other companies for their own marketing.
How long we keep it
We keep sample requests and prospect records for up to 24 months after our last contact with you, and customer and billing records for as long as you're a customer plus the period tax and accounting rules require. You can ask us to delete your data sooner (see below).
Your choices and rights
- Unsubscribe: use the link in any email, or reply "unsubscribe".
- Access, correct or delete: email hello@texasbizradar.com. We'll respond within 45 days, and we may need to confirm it's you.
- State privacy rights: depending on where you live (for example, under the Texas Data Privacy and Security Act or similar state laws), you may have rights to access, correct, delete or get a copy of your data, and to opt out of targeted advertising, sale or profiling. We honor these requests whether or not a law strictly requires it. If we decline a request, you can appeal by replying to our answer, and you can contact your state attorney general.
About the businesses in our lists
Our weekly lists are built from public records the Texas Comptroller of Public Accounts publishes as open data (Active Sales Tax Permit Holders): business name, legal owner, outlet and mailing address, industry code and permit dates. For sole proprietors, the legal owner is a person's name. We add our own labels (such as industry and likely insurance need), but we don't add phone numbers, emails or other contact details for these businesses. If you own a business that appears in our lists and want it left out of future lists, email hello@texasbizradar.com with the business name and address and we'll suppress it within 10 business days. We can't recall copies already delivered to subscribers.
Security
We use reputable providers, encrypted connections (HTTPS) and limited access to protect your information. No method is perfectly secure, so we can't promise absolute security.
Children
Radar is a business service for adults. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we'll post the new version here and update the date below. If a change is significant, we'll also email customers.
